Task 4 - Workbook
Special K
It used the word delicious a lot which is positive language, and it compares it to muesli. It also shows a woman (who is about the same as the target audience) who is confident and slim so it makes the viewer want to be like them, and therefore wanting to buy the product.
Its USP is that it's a medley so it's lots of different things like fruit and oats in one cereal.
Walkers Extra Crunchy
Has a catchy song and has two famous people in the adverts. It also shows normal everyday people living their lives and again the people they are showing are the target audience, young people spending time with friends. So by showing them all sitting around eating these crisps it'll make young people want to buy the product when they're spending time with friends.
The USP is that the advert is self aware and is making a joke about the product, it's suppose to be for sharing but Gary Lineker doesn't want to share it.
Cillit Bang
He is shouting in a friendly manner which grabs the viewers attention straight away. It also shows the product in use and doing different jobs and in the advert it is working so people will want to buy a product that they think works. The house they are showing is brightly coloured and clean and lots of people would want their houses to look like that so they'll buy the product.
The USP is that he introduces himself which makes the advert seen less intimidating.
